22 year old newly invited Nigeria international midfielder Frank Onyeka will be staying at Danish side Midtjylland as his planned move away from the club didn’t beat the deadline for transfers.

Onyekuru agreed terms with Club Brugge of Belgium but a transfer fee wasn’t agreed with Midtjylland insisting on a fee in excess of €20 million for the midfielder.

Prior to the late move my Brugge, Onyeka was tracked by a team in Germany who were willing to commit €7 million to sign him but his Danish team remained adamant on the fee that they want.

His representative was so sure that a deal has been reached with the German side and told Owngoalnigeria.com that the player has gotten his wish to leave the club but the move didn’t work.

Speaking to same portal, he said the idea is now to move in January where he will be hoping that a move will be a lot easier as Onyeka would have played in the UEFA Champions League for Midtjylland.

“ Yes. There was no compromise as both sides were too far apart in their valuation of Onyeka. Unfortunately only one side agree to shift ground. What remains is to focus on the Champions League games till December and we will see”, he told Owngoalnigeria.com
