Major General Abdul Khalifah Ibrahim, Head of the Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF), has saluted recuperating troops.

The Force Commander (FC) visited them at the Renaissance Hospital in N’Djamena, Chad.

He was accompanied by the Hospital Director-General, Ali Mahamat Djibrine, MNJTF Chief Medical Officer, Colonel Boubakar Siddo, and senior officers.

The soldiers, from Cameroon, Chad and Niger, are being treated for injuries sustained during battles with terrorists.

Ibrahim praised them for “uncommon bravery and patriotism” in the face of attacks by Boko Haram and ISWAP.

The FC assured them of the best medical care, noting that troops’ health and wellbeing remain MNJTF top priority.

The General said despite mass surrender by the insurgents, operations would continue until they are totally defeated.

Ibrahim thanked the medical personnel for their work and promised to ensure continued efficient services to wounded soldiers.
