The goalkeepers crisis currently rocking the squad of the Super Eagles ahead of next month friendly game could open the door for Philip Ejimadu to have his first cap for Nigeria.

Ikechukwu Ezenwa and John Noble are presently our injured leaving Stanley Nwabali as the only fit goalkeeper in the camp of the team, and even if a replacement is called up for the injured duo it will be difficult to get a visa.

It means if Ezenwa who is tipped to be half fit for the trip to the United State of America isn’t passed fit, the technical crew lead by Austin Eguavoen will be forced to look abroad for a goalkeeper who doesn’t need visa to travel to the USA.

For now Ejimadu who plays in the USL ( second division) for Las Vegas Lights FC is favourite for the role of backup goalkeeper to Nwabali.

21 year old Ejimadu has 15 appearances to his name in the USL where he has conceded 21 goals and kept four clean sheets. He was called up to the U20 team of the USA but didn’t get to play.
