Gombe State governor, Ibrahim Dankwambo has lost his bid for the Senate seat of Gombe North Senatorial District, Premium Times reports.
He lost to the All Progressive Congress (APC) candidate, Sa’idu Alkali, in Saturday’s National Assembly election.
The Returning Officer of the state, Umar Gurama announced at the INEC collation centre in Kwami LGA that Alkali polled 152,546 votes while Dankwambo managed 88,016 votes.
