Gunmen have abducted a businesswoman identified, Mrs Onyi Ugba, at Okija Street, Mile 2 Diobu, Port Harcourt City local government area of Rivers State.
thedabigal gathered that the heavily armed criminals, who were about five in number, stormed the superstore of Ugba on Friday, demanding that the businesswoman hand over all the money she made from sales to them.
A source told thedabigal that the gunmen got infuriated when the woman was unable to provide the amount of money they demanded.
According to our source, the people around the scene of the incident scampered for safety after the gunmen shot sporadically, before whisking the business woman away.
While personnel of the Mile 1 Police station arrived at the scene minutes after the hoodlums had left, the spokesperson of the Rivers State Police Command, Grace Iringe-Koko, assured that the police is on the case to ensure the rescue of the victim and the arrest of the perpetrators.
