He’s unreliable, I don’t trust him – Burley blasts Chelsea star

Former Chelsea star Craig Burley has slammed Mykhailo Mudryk after the winger struggled during Chelsea’s Carabao Cup semi-final second leg 6-1 win over Middlesbrough at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night.

Mudryk struggled to get anything going despite being included in the starting XI against Middlesbrough.

The 23-year-old was substituted by Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino at halftime after he received a yellow card.

Pochettino at his post-match interview after the win over Middlesbrough said the Ukrainian was ‘too risky’ during the match.

Speaking to ESPN (via HITC), Burley said Mudryk is not reliable.

He also said that he doesn’t trust Mudryk, adding that his decision-making is poor.

“I don’t trust Mudryk, at all. I think what he does most of the time is a head-scratcher. He wants to do everything at 100 miles per hour, so I don’t really trust that,” Burley said.

“He makes too many bad decisions to be in this Chelsea side. Whether it is without the ball or with the ball. His decision-making is poor – Mudryk is going to have to sharpen up. He is unreliable.”
