A video of a Nigerian man who recently moved to the United Kingdom lamenting bitterly about being stranded has gone viral and stirred emotions.

In the trending clip, the man is seen in a train station with all his baggage. He claimed to have been sent packing with all his luggage by his landlord.

He lamented how he sold his houses and car to pay the sum of N1OM to one Mrs. Olaitan, who gave him false promises that there were jobs waiting for him in the UK.

He said the agent, to whom he paid the money, assured him of immediate employment upon getting into the country, but that was not the case as he has been unable to secure a job since he arrived.

Narrating his predicament in Yoruba, he noted that he regrets leaving his comfortable life in Nigeria and selling off his properties to search for a greener pasture in the UK.

Reacting, an Instagram user @iamcensiny wrote,

“I don’t blame him. He didn’t just move, he moved based on the information he was given which is wrong. This is why you should ask questions, like lots of questions. There are lots of traveling agents out there that’d give you wrong info because they want to eat your money. I feel sorry for him I hope God send a helper on his way ????#Ilosiwaju fun EVERYBODY”.

@tour_lanny, “Most people are just traveling because they wan go UK,they don’t have proper plans. After study what next?????”.

@soplush101, “Don’t japa without a solid plan and a job, being stranded overseas is worst than suffering in Nigeria. “
