Nollywood actor, Uche Maduagwu has reacted to the detention of popular billionaire businessman, Obi Cubana, by the EFCC.

The socialite was arrested by the anti-graft agency on Monday, November 1, for alleged money laundering and tax fraud.

However, it was reported that he was released on Tuesday afternoon but new reports have it that he is still in EFCC custody and his passport was confiscated so he wouldn’t leave the country.

“Obi Cubana has not been released, he is still having quality sessions with investigators over alleged money laundering running into millions of naira and tax fraud,” a source said.

Reacting to the controversy surrounding the arrest of the wealthy Anambra-born businessman, Uche Maduagwu took to his Instagram page to state the nobody is above the law.

The controversial actor who is always questioning the source of income of wealthy socialites, said not all that glitters is gold and he would rather drink garri than dine with billionaires with questionable source of wealth.

He wrote on his Instagram page,

“Nobody is above the LAW. Not even Obi Kunu. So many celebrities criticized Me for always asking Hushpuppi Back then his source of overnight WEALTH But today where is he?

I would rather drink Garri than hang out With billionaires or millionaires Whose source of wealth i Do not know. Not all that glitter is gold”
