Popular Nigerian LGBTQI activist, Bisi Alimi has weighed into the trending conversation about the leaked sex tape of crossdresser, James Brown.

Recall that a video showing the crossdresser having sexual relations with a woman went viral on Monday evening and caused a frenzy on social media.

The video seemingly gave an answer to the long-term controversy surrounding James Brown’s sexuality, with many saying he’s only using crossdressing to make money online and he’s not gay as many believed.

Well, Bisi Alimi has a contradicting opinion about the sex tape, as he asserted that if one has to release a sex video to prove they are straight, then it’s possible that the person is not straight.

Taking to Facebook on Tuesday, October 10, the openly-gay media personality wrote,

“If you have to do a sex video to show you are straight, it could be that you weren’t in the first place”

A while back, Bisi Alimi asked closeted members of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and Intersex communities in Nigeria to come out of the closet.

Bisi, who is the first Nigerian to openly declare his sexuality as gay on national television, urged others still in the closet to come out.

According to him, if they open up about their sexuality their parents won’t die, insisting that it’s a lie used to keep them in closet.
