Ifeanyi Ubah Of YPP Defeats PDP, APGA & APC In Anambra South Senatorial Election

Ifeanyi Ubah, chairman of Capital Oil and Gas and former governorship aspirant has won the Anambra South senatorial election, defeating the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) and the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Ubah, who contested under the Young Progressives Party (YPP), polled a total of 87, 081 votes.

Chris Uba of the PDP polled 62,462 votes.

Nicholas Ukachukwu of APGA polled 51,269 votes

Incumbent, Senator Andy Uba, the elder brother of the PDP candidate, got 13,245 votes.

The results were announced by M.N. Umenweke, the INEC returning officer for the polls.
