Kelechi Iheanacho time at Leicester City could come to a temporary end with the 23 year old in talks with German side RB Leipzig over a loan move in the ongoing January transfer window.
According to German publication Sport Bild, RB Leipzig are on the lookout for another striker with Yussuf Poulsen and Alexander Sorloth scoring a meagre combined total of five goals this season.
Hwang Hee-chan missed the last six games since playing against Borussia Dortmund on the 9th of January, no thanks to a positive Covid 19 test that had some long term effect on him.
“ They wanted Iheanacho in the summer but Leicester City weren’t open to a deal. It’s a lot positive now and early talks have been held but nothing has really happened yet”, a source close to his intermediary told Owngoalnigeria.com.
Despite claims by the sporting director of the German side Markus Krosche that they are not in the market for any player this January, Bild Insist that aside Iheanacho they are also eyeing Liverpool’s Divock Origi and Kasper Dolberg of OGC Nice.
