A Nigerian man has taken to Twitter to reveal the brilliant way his wife got him to do more chores in the house.
The voice-over artist with handle @MaxOfLagos explained that his wife introduced chore penalties such that anyone who fails to complete their assigned task by the end of the day pays a $20 fine.
He said he noticed that his wife has been slacking on her chores despite being the one who proposed the idea. It then dawned on him that it was her ploy to get him to do more chores, while she paid the fine.
“Wife and I have chore penalties: pay $20 for failing to complete an assigned task on the day. This was her idea, but the overwhelming majority of the breaches have been by her. It has now occurred to me that I’m being paid to be a maid because she doesn’t mind the fines at all ????”, he tweeted.
His post was met with mixed reactions as people advised him to increase the fine so his wife won’t have an excuse not to do chores.
In response, he tweeted, “Some of you have asked me to lobby for the fine to be increased. I can barely afford the current one, will you help me pay when I get caught out?”
In his Twitter bio, Max disclosed the he married a rich woman so he can work on being “an amateur league streamer”, implying that his wife is richer than he is.
