The Deputy Speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly, Amara Iwuanyanwu, has said the state will benefit from the recent visit of President Muhammadu Buhari.

Iwuanyanwu said Buhari’s visit to Imo State would help the President identify where he can assist.

The member representing Nwangele state constituency in the Imo Assembly made the comment in a statement sent to thedabigal.

He said the president’s visit was an opportunity for Buhari to see the work done by the state Governor, Hope Uzodimma.

He said: “The benefits of the presidential visit will be immense and beneficial for Imo.

“Days after he left Imo, the state visit of President Muhammadu Buhari is still a trending topic in the state.

“For instance, there are some federal roads that the governor had embarked on, that are not actually state roads, but because of the viability of those roads, he embarked on them with meagre funds.

“So, if the president goes back with what he has seen on ground, he can decide where the federal government would assist.

“This presidential visit is epochal in different dimensions.”

Buhari had on September 9 visited Imo State, where he commissioned some projects.

The president also met with Southeast leaders during his visit.
