Nigeria international defender Tyronne Ebuehi will miss the next couple of games for Dutch side FC Twente after picking up an injury over the weekend.

The 25 years old who missed two years of competitive football due to injury appears to have returned to his best with 17 appearances and one assist to his name at Twente, where he is on loan from Benfica.

Last Sunday he was replaced after 45 minutes against Groningen with an ankle injury which will see him miss some weeks of action although the initial scan showed no serious damage to his ankle.

An x-ray has been done on the ankle and it showed no damage at all but with the defender still in pains a scan is the best solution as it will help in telling the length of time he will be out.

Reports has it that the swollen around the ankle is a lot better than it was on Sunday , which could mean a swift return to the pitch for the player the club aim to keep at the end of his loan spell.
