Iwobi wants to emulate Okocha at Craven Cottage

Alex Iwobi says he wants to create memories like his uncle Austine Jay Jay Okocha’s at Craven Cottage.

Iwobi linked up with the Whites from Everton on transfer deadline day.

Fulham will be Iwobi’s third Premier League club following his lengthy stint at Arsenal.

The 27-year-old graduated from the Arsenal Academy to the main team.

The midfielder left Arsenal for Everton in 2019.

Iwobi’s uncle, Okocha, was a household name in the Premier League in the early 2000s following his successful spell at Bolton Wanderers.

Okocha played four times at Craven Cottage during his time at Bolton.

Iwobi is now looking forward to emulating him by doing well on the same ground.

Iwobi told Fulham TV: “I’ve watched him several times at Craven Cottage, so I’ve had great memories there. Hopefully, I can create more memories with me playing at Craven Cottage.”
