A former lawmaker, Shehu Sani, says he is delighted that music superstar, David Adeleke, famously known as Davido, has deleted the controversial video from his handle.

thedabigal recalls that the singer recently came under attack by some Muslims over a music video clip he tweeted on his official Twitter handle.

The video of the song, ‘Jaye Lo’ by Davido’s signee, Logos Olori, caused a stir on social media until the singer pulled down the content Sunday night.

Sani is of the view that Davido should still find time to engage his Muslim fans, though the controversial video could not be expunged from cyberspace.

In a post via his verified Twitter handle on Monday, Sani noted that Davido remains one of Nigeria’s best global brands, adding that his success is an inspiration to the younger generation and a source of national pride.

He wrote, “I’m delighted to learn that Davido has deleted the controversial video from his handle, even though it can’t be expunged from the cyberspace. The artist should still find time to engage his Muslim fans. He remains one of Nigeria’s best global brands, whose success is an inspiration to the younger generation and a source of national pride.”
