Lagos State House of Assembly has appointed Olalekan Onafeko as the Acting Clerk.

Olalekan, a barrister, was the Head of Administration/Human Resources Directorate of the Assembly.

Deputy Speaker, Wasiu Eshinlokun-Sanni, made the announcement on Monday.

“We have met many qualified staff, and we considered so many qualities such as competence, desirability, others, and so we appointed Mr. Olalekan Onafeko,” he said.

The former Clerk, Azeez Sanni, retired from service on September 10, after serving for 35 years.

Until now, the Deputy Clerk, Taiwo Otun, acted in the position.
