Earlier in the week, Lagos State governor Babajide Sanwo-olu reacted to the caricature drawing a Nigerian man made of him, by sharing it on his social media page.
The social media user identified as Osinowo Taiwo took to his Instagram page to caption the drawing as thus,
“I drew his excellency governor of Lagos State @jidesanwoolu ????,I thank God for the successful work I think his excellency will love it..I still remain the best artist in UAR”
Upon seeing his drawing, the Lagos State governor reacting writing,
Really? So, it’s me you drew like this? I’m guessing you’ll like to present it to me, abi? Ok, come and present it to me in my office. Hmmmm…”
In a new development, the drawing was presented to him during an event where snaps of him receiving the artwork were taken with the artist who drew him.
Sharing photos of him receiving the award, the governor wrote,
The best artist in UAR” came to present his drawing to me.
I honestly can’t lay claim to the person in the frame, ???? but I lay claim to the fact that we will continue to support and encourage our talented youths in Lagos state.
We are also adding fashion and entertainment to our school curriculum.
