Coach of Leicester City Brendan Rogers says Nigeria international midfielder Wilfred Ndidi is one of the best in the world in his position hence he doesn’t want to lose him.
Speaking ahead of Leicester City game against Sparta Prague in the Europa League , the coach said the 24 year old who has been linked with a move to French giants is not for sale.
He made the comments while reacting to a Nigerian journalist base in France Ojora Babatunde who asked if he has any fear of losing the £80 million pounds rated midfielder.
Rodgers tagged the Nigerian as irreplaceable due to the balance he gives his team and the way he has continue to improve over the years.
“Wilf has been absolutely brilliant since I have been here. Just what he gives the team in terms of balance. He is one of the top players in the world in terms of recovering the ball. His reading of the game is so good and he has the quality as he is improving all the time”, Rodgers said.
“ So for us he is irreplaceable. We have very good players who can play in that position but what Wilf gives the team is quite unique and for such a young player he has been fantastic.
“What really please me as a coach is that we see his development, his improvements because of his ability he is very coachable he wants to learn and he will continue to get better with the more experience he gets. An absolute fantastic player and I am happy he plays in my team”.
