22 year old Nigerian forward Dickson Abiama was the hero for German side Greuther Furth scoring the winner in their 3-2 win over Fortuna Düsseldorf which sealed them a spot in the Bundesliga for next season.
Abiama was introduced with nine minutes left to play in the crunch tie with scores tied at 2-2 with Greuther Furth twice coming from behind. The Nigerian put them ahead for the first time two minutes after his introduction.
The goal was his 8th of the season in the league but will go down as the most important in the career of the forward who was playing in the German 5th division just one year ago.
He moved to Greuther Furth in the summer from non league side Eltersdorf and what a signing he has proven to be in their successful quest to gain promotion to the top flight league.
