Long queues of commercial buses, cars and private vehicles have returned to majority of the petrol stations in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
A visit by thedabigal correspondent to some parts of Ibadan on Wednesday confirmed that petrol stations in Ibadan are currently witnessing long queues.
Some of the areas visited by our correspondent included Sango, Secretariat Road, Mokola and Agodi Gate.
Others are Adamasingba, Apete, Awotan and Dugbe.
It was observed that commuters, in a bid to buy Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) also known as petrol, queued at the stations very early on Wednesday.
Some stations shut their gates, with only a few dispensing to customers.
This is also responsible for heavy traffic in most parts of the areas where petroleum stations have decided to attend to the buyers.
Our correspondent learnt that the long queues are as a result of the rumour of scarcity of petrol across the country.
