Leicester City winger Ademola Lookman has to stay consistent in other for him to get a chance with the senior national team of Nigeria according to coach of the team Gernot Rohr.
Rohr confirmed that the player is in his preliminary squad for the Africa Cup Of Nations next year following his decision to formally apply for a switch of allegiance from England.
It’s still unclear when he will be granted the permission to represent Nigeria by FIFA but Rohr has already warned him that it won’t be enough to get into his team as he also need to play regularly at Leicester, where he is on loan from German side RB Leipzig.
“It’s the same for everybody who want to come into the team. You have to show your level at club level then you get a chance with us. Lookman is an interesting player but he need to play more and we will see”, Rohr told OwnGoalNigeria.com.
