A man has ended his relationship with his girlfriend because she is too independent and he is scared that he won’t be able to control her.

Screenshots of their WhatsApp chat are currently circulating online, sparking mixed reactions from social media users.

In the chat, the woman asked her man if he got the food she sent to him. She also mentioned that she will be sending him a necklace and slippers the next day.

In response, the man praised her for being a great girlfriend but pointed out that he is struggling with her independent nature.

He said he feels useless and doesn’t feel like a man in the relationship, and he fears that he won’t be able to control her. According to him, he can’t marry someone who wouldn’t be submissive.

In other news, popular Lagos socialite, Farida Sobowale of House of Phreeda, has spoken out for the first time following her rescue from a suicide attempt on the Third Mainland Bridge.

It was earlier reported that the mother of three was rescued on Thursday evening, August 17, after attempting to end it all.

She went to the bridge in her Lexus SUV, came down, and was on the verge of jumping into the lagoon when she was saved by passersby.

Following her recent suicide attempt, Farida released a video admitting that she did it due to her deep love for her ex-husband.

She said she felt betrayed and deceived after their lavish wedding, and pleaded for the forgiveness of her fans and followers. She further stated that she has moved on and has left the situation to God.
