Manchester City have reportedly set up a contingency plan should Leroy Sane complete his long-awaited move to Bayern Munich next summer.
The 23-year-old was set to join the Bundesliga giants until suffering a serious knee injury in the Community Shield in August.
And with Bayern still maintaining an interest, City have moved to line up a replacement already.
They are prepared to activate the buyout clause of Real Sociedad star Mikel Oyarzabal, according to multiple reports.
The 22-year-old has a £68million release clause and has impressed at the Basque club this season, leading their charge towards the Champions League places.
He scored 13 goals last season and helped Spain win the Under 21 European Championship in the summer.
City appear to be resigned to losing Sane, who is determined to move back to his homeland and become the main man at the Allianz Arena.
