Manchester United boss, Ralf Rangnick, believes Jadon Sancho’s season is likely overdue to tonsillitis.

Rangnick says the winger is definitely out of their clash with Brentford.

He said, “Jadon Sancho might be out for the rest of the season with tonsillitis. It’s most likely he’s not available against Brentford.”

On whether Sancho needs to have his tonsils out, Rangnick said: “It could happen. He has an inflammation of his tonsils and also temperature. Hopefully, they can get hold of that inflammation and if the tonsils have to be taken out it can happen at the end of the season.”

On whether his season is over, the caretaker manager added: “Since the last game is three weeks [away], for the next two games it’s unlikely.”
