Romero has been a great addition to Gian Piero Gasperini’s side and his value has rocketed over the last year.
Sky Sports report Manchester United are interested in the 23-year-old Argentine to reinforce the defence at Old Trafford.
Atalanta will most likely activate the option to buy the defender and the report claims the Orobici could ask for €40m from the Red Devils.
Sky claims United are also evaluating LOSC Lille defender Sven Botman and Sevilla’s Jule Kounde.
