Mane makes history with Senegal, wins AFCON for the first time! – Sporting Life

Liverpool star, Sadio Mane, fired  home winning penalty in shootout after he had missed an early spot-kick in the final and escaped a red card, to leave Mo Salah in tears at the energy-sappy AFCON final on Sunday in Cameroon.

Senegal made history as they won AFCON for the first time by beating Egypt on penalties.

Sadio Mane saw a penalty saved by Gabaski just four minutes into the clash 90 minutes of normal time and extra-time failed to produce a match-winner.

But Mane redeemed himself scoring the winning penalty to see Senegal win 4-2.
