Nigeria will today take on Guinea-Bissau in their final group game of the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire, OwnGoalNigeria.comreports.
The Super Eagles go into the game with a chance of finishing as group winners following their 1-0 win over the host, but their opponent standing little or no chance of progression following back to back losses in their first two games of the tournament.
Ahead of the game, Guinea-Bissau star winger Carlos Mane says the Super Eagles should be ready for a difficult game as they are ready to do their best to stop the Super Eagles from getting all three points.
” We have zero point in the competition but we have to fight to get a good result. We will go into the game with a strong mentality, we will try to win for the pride of our country”, he said at yesterday’s pre match conference.
He went further to praise the coach of the Nigerian team Jose Peseiro who was his coach four years ago at Sporting Lisbon. ” We know Nigeria very well. They have a good coach (Jose Peseiro). He was my coach at Sporting Lisbon four years ago”.
