Messi gives Manchester City conditions to sign contract

Barcelona captain, Lionel Messi has demanded that Manchester City retain Pep Guardiola as their manager ahead of the new season.

The Argentine who has handed Barcelona his transfer request could agree to a two-year contract with City according to RAC 1.

The Premier League side will pay the 33-year-old as high as he is currently earning with the LaLiga giants.

City chief, Ferran Soriano, is leading the negotiations with Messi’s representatives, as they seek to bring the Argentine superstar to England.

It is believed that Guardiola and Messi spoke on the phone about the possibility of him moving to the Etihad.
