Commissioner of Police in Lagos State, Hakeem Odumosu says the military, police and other units are not rivals.

The CP stressed that the security agencies are “members of the same family” pursuing the same goal in the interest of the nation.

Odumosu made the remark during the study tour of delegates of Senior Course 44, Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Jaji, to the police headquarters in Ikeja.

The senior cop said the police has the responsibility to secure citizens, business entities, private and government facilities as well as critical infrastructures.

Odumosu noted that the visit will enable the course participants to get thorough knowledge of the strategies being adopted by the command.

“The strategies include, but not limited to, proactive and intelligence-driven security strategies against crimes and criminality to ensure a secured environment”, he disclosed.

Leader of the delegates, Commodore K. J. Odubanjo thanked Odumosu for the warm reception accorded the team.

The military officer added that the CP’s presentation would be of tremendous benefits to the participants.
