Lekki Massacre: They are killing young people – Falz cries out

There was chaos this evening at the Lekki protest ground after soldiers deployed to the venue opened fire on young Nigerians protesting against police brutality in the country.

The Lekki Toll gate and the Ikoyi Link bridge were late razed down by suspected hoodlums in the area moments after some #EndSars protesters were shot dead by security operatives.

The governor of Lagos state had earlier today declared a curfew in the state. The curfew which was earlier scheduled for 4pm was later shifted to 9pm.

Protesters who gathered at the toll gate refused to evacuate the protest ground, despite the order by the state.

Some security operatives were then deployed to the spot to displace the protesters who stood their ground. Moments after arriving at the toll gate, the security operatives opened fire on the protesters to displace them.

No less than 5 people were shot dead and many others injured.

Consequently, all the cubicles of the toll gate were set on fire by suspected hoodlum.
