The practice of football agents taking advantage of young African players who are keen on establishing their careers in Europe happened to former Nigeria U17 goal king Emmanuel Sani.

Sani who was top scorer at the 2009 U17 World Cup held in Nigeria joined Italian Serie A side Lazio after the tournament, but didn’t quite make it to the top and since then he hasn’t been able to fulfill the promise that made him a hot prospect back then.

The 29 year old quit playing football two year ago due to a recurrent foot injury which defied medical aid and saw him lost out at every single club be signed for during a four year spell.

“I had problems with my feet, even during the tournament in 2009. If you remember, I often played in the second half because the pain was unbearable”, he revealed.

“After the World Cup, I could not play at all because I had pulled too much on the hamstring playing with pain. Then I had to stop my career. Even today, it still hurts on the front of the foot.”

He alleged that during his time at the Italian side his former agent Kevin Fioranelli  swindled him of €320,000.00 saying he will one day get to see the fake agent. He made this known with a post on his Facebook page.

“You can not hide forever MR Kevin Fioranelli . You took my 320,000 euro from my contract with SS LAZIO and you think you will eat my sweat and go for free.
I will find you soon. #Fakeagent Sportfront”, he posted on Facebook.

Using the official rate of Euros to the Nigerian Naira it’s close to 140 million Naira while going with the present black market rate it’s over 224 Million Naira.
