NCDC reports 143 new COVID-19 cases in Nigeria, as toll hits 65,982

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 143 new cases of COVID-19 in the country.

The NCDC in a tweet via its Twitter handle on Friday night, said a total of 9 States, including the FCT recorded the 143 infections in the last 24 hours.

According to the health agency, the 143 new cases brought the nation’s confirmed COVID-19 cases to 65,982.

It also noted that 1,165 people have died from complications resulting from the virus.
