The new coach of PSG according to reports in France has told the club that he want Nigerian midfielder Wilfred Ndidi in his team as part of his plans to shore up the midfield.

Mauricio Pochettino was only recently appointed as coach of the team following the sacking of coach Thomas Tuchel with the club expecting the former Tottenham Hotspur boss to go one step further in this year UEFA Champions League than last year when they finished second.

He sees midfield as one area where the team could do with couple of signings and he has Ndidi of Leicester City as his prime target most likely in the summer as the January window won’t be ideal enough to price away the 23 year old.

PSG are willing to wait till the summer since a deal will be hard to negotiate with Leicester City who see the player as one of their main players in their quest to make the UEFA Champions League next season.

Leicester City will according to sources close to Ndidi demand a fee of around €80 million for a player considered by many as one of their best signings the past four years.
