Benue State Governor, Rev Fr Hyacinth Alia, has reaffirmed his resolve to make the state one of the top ranking states in the federation.

Gov Alia stated this on Saturday, while making a remark at a symposium organised by the state government in commemoration of Nigeria’s 63rd Independence Day celebration.

Gov Alia said he has drawn a workable roadmap and strategy to achieve the task while welcoming the various scholars and participants at the event held in the New Banquet Hall at the Benue State Government House, Makurdi

Governor Alia thanked all the participants and the resource persons for coming to share ideas on how and what can be done to move the state and country forward.

According to the governor, although the state and country are facing challenging times, it is within the purview of both the government and the citizenry to contribute to the upliftment of the state and the nation.

He charged all Benue people to see how they could contribute their quota to make the state and Nigeria great.
