A young Nigerian lady identified as Gloria has taken to social media to seek counsel as she laments about the difficult situation she finds herself in.

Gloria claims that her fiancé refuses to get out of their engagement despite having genotypes that might increase the likelihood of producing children with sickle cell disease.

Gloria, who possesses the genotype AS, disclosed that her fiancé, who also possesses the genotype AS, disregarded their genotype compatibility because he thought their love could overcome the chances and prevent producing a kid with the genetic sickness.

Red blood cells are impacted by the hereditary disease sickle cell disorder, which makes them malformed and more prone to breakdown.

She wrote;

“I am AS and my fiance is AS , though i know that we can’t marry of which i told him but he is disturbing me that nothing would happen to us that he has seen where AS and As had marry and they didn’t born sickler. What will I do? Help a sister.”
