Nigerian woman dies 12 days after her wedding

Family and friends have taken to social media to mourn a newlywed bride, Mercy IIiya, who died twelve days after her wedding in Maiduguri.

Mercy and her groom, Jesse Tafida, a TVC correspondent in Maiduguri, tied the knot in a grand ceremony on Saturday, April 30. Sadly, twelve days later, she gave up the ghost.

In an emotional tribute to the deceased, a Facebook user, Amos Jesse wrote,

“What a life… Mercy Amarya ..so you are gone after 12 days of celebrating your wedding …I have been asking 1000 questions but I can’t find any answer to it. Jesse babana God comfort you and give you the heart to bear this unbearable lost. Am still at shocked!!!! May your soul rest in peace Mercy. Our Amarya is gone”.

In related news, the quite sudden demise of a Nigerian bride who passed away one day after her wedding to her beau in Delta state has thrown her husband and family members into mourning.

According to a journalist, Sapele Oghenek the lady whose name is yet to be identified as at the time of filing of this report, is said to have married on Saturday, but tragically lost her life on Sunday.

It was however gathered that on the day of her marriage, she had receive a mild treatment which had suggested that she might have been sick.

Sharing the photo, Oghenek wrote,

“The face of the Lady wey do wedding on Saturday and die on Sunday. Maybe she nor dey medically fit as we spot drip niddle for her hand. Enemies pass there enter her I suspect.Be Prayerful my Pipo.”
