As one of the ways to maximize the potentials of the youthful population of Nigeria, the Ministry of Budget and National Planning has appointed Nkechi Obi as Deputy Coordinator under the category of Youth and Sports Development for Nigeria agenda.
Obi has been an active participant and a stakeholder in the development of sport in Nigeria and it is believed that her appointment will be very vital to the development of Nigeria agenda for 2021 -25, 2026 -30 and even up to 2050.
She is also a consultant to the Nationwide League One (NLO). She got the appointment when Sola Ogunnowo took over as the Chief Operating Officer of Nigeria’s third tier league in 2014.
