The Executive Committee and stakeholders of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in the North East zone have reaffirmed the expulsion of the presidential candidate of the party in the 2023 general elections, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.

This was disclosed in a communique at the end of the North East executive and stakeholders meeting held in Bauchi on Friday.

Additionally, the NNPP North East expressed dissatisfaction with the Appeal Court’s judgment that sacked Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.

The NNPP National Vice Chairman North, Dr Babayo Liman, in the communique read to journalists, pledged continued support for the governor and called for unity among NNPP members nationwide.

The meeting also affirmed the dissolution of the Abba Kawu Ali-led National Working Committee, NWC, of the NNPP.

The North East NNPP executive committee and stakeholders equally passed a vote of confidence on the founder and life member of the Board of Trustees, Dr Boniface Aniebonan.

The meeting reaffirmed the election of Dr. Tope Aluko as Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Engr. Mohammed Babayo Abdullahi as Secretary.

The appointment of the new NWC under Dr Agbo Major’s leadership was also reaffirmed.
