Veteran Nollywood actor, Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD), has taken to social media to share a sad reality.

The 60-year-old shared a cartoon story that depicted the elite having a feast on the backs of the masses. In the photo, two men and a woman sat around a legless table laden with cash, a large bottle of wine, and chicken, all of which were propped up on the backs of stooping people.

“If the people stand “The party is over,” were the words on the post.

Sharing the photo on his Instagram stories, RMD noted that the cartoon story is sadly our reality.

“No better truth ever spoken”, he wrote.

A while ago, RMD took to social media to share his thoughts on the current happenings in the country.

Recounting the recent attack on the Abuja-Kaduna train and the chaos that erupted at the MKO Abiola Stadium after Nigeria lost the qualifier match to Ghana, RMD opined that many Nigerians are angry and bitter, and are looking for outlets for their anger.

“My heart goes out to the families of those who lost their lives, the wounded and those who will be traumatised by this incident for a long time. At this time last year I was on this same train to kaduna and we talked about how unsafe life is and the risks we were taking. We are the lucky ones.
Again a month ago I was on the Lagos /Ibadan train and it was the same spectre of death and attacks that plagued our minds. This is not to disregard the comfort and timeliness of the train ride and how desirable it is.

A few weeks later we heard reports of the same train breaking down on the tracks due to lack of Diesel. Again I was lucky that this didn’t happen to me. Point is, it could be anyone any day. On the road, at the airport, train station, no where is safe anymore. This is the extent of our brokenness.” He wrote.
