Not For Sale – Union Berlin Turn Down West Ham Approach For Taiwo Awoniyi

German side Union Berlin won’t be open to listening to offers for their Nigerian striker Taowo Awoniyi, OwngoalNigeria.com can exclusively reveal.

Awoniyi has been in red hot form this season for the Bundesliga side with 13 goals from 30 Bundesliga games this season and as expected it has caught the attention of top teams in Europe.

Signed for a club record fee from Liverpool after a successful loan spell, the 24 year old is said to be on the wishlist of West Ham United who are on the look out for a striker in the summer.

Although Union Berlin might cash in if they receive an offer in excess of €30 million. For now there is an agreement between the club and his agent is that he will spend another season at the club.

Both parties agreed to only listen to offers after next season with Union Berlin hoping to build on the success of this season to mount a good challenge in the league next season.
