NPFL: 3SC edge Remo Stars in South West derby, Rangers beat Lobi

Shooting Stars recorded their first South West derby win against Remo Stars, beating the visitors 2-0 at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan, on Sunday.

Former Flying Eagles forward, Christian Pyagbara scored both goals for Shooting Stars.

Seven-time champions Rangers moved to second position after a hard-fought 2-1 victory against leaders Lobi Stars.

Former NPFL top scorer Godwin Obaje put Rangers ahead eight minutes before the break, while Kingsley Maduforo added the second three minutes after restart.

Samuel Tiza reduced the deficit for Lobi Stars on 65 minutes.

In Port Harcourt, Rivers United defeated Heartland 1-0 with Ukeme Williams scoring the winning goal on 11 minutes.
