NPFL fines Kano Pillars, warns Heartland supporters

Kano Pillars have been fined for their supporters encroachment onto the field during matchday four clash against Rivers United at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano.

The Nigeria Premier Football League disciplinary board fined the Sai Masu Gida N1m.

Kano Pillars Supporters were found to have jumped the barriers onto the field of play to celebrate their 93rd minute goal in the encounter

Veteran Rabiu Ali got the lone goal in the game to secure victory for the Abdu Maikaba’s side.

Kano Pillars have been given a 14 days ultimatum to pay the fine and warned that failure to comply within the stipulated time would be considered a continuous breach of the NPFL Framework and Rules.

In another development, Heartland were issued a stern warning to curb restive acts of their supporters.

The league body also advised to Naze Millionaires to organise reorientation for their supporters to inculcate in them the spirit of fair play.
