NWFL set to resume after mid-season break

The 2024 Nigeria Women’s Football League, NWFL, will resume on Wednesday (today) after a two-week break.

The NWFL had embarked on a mid-season break after the completion of the first stanza.

The matchday eight fixtures will take center stage across all the league venues.

In Group A, Confluence Queens will take on Naija Ratels at the Iyamho Stadium, Auchi, while Abia Angels will face Dannaz Ladies at the Enyimba International Stadium in Aba.

Heartland Queens will welcome Adamawa Queens to the Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri while Nasarawa Amazons will take on Royal Queens at the Lafia City Stadium.

In Group B, Ekiti Queens will welcome Remo Stars Ladies to the Oluyemi Kayode Stadium, while Sunshine Queens will lock horns with Delta Queens at the Akure Township Stadium.

Other fixtures are Edo Queens versus Bayelsa Queens, and Rivers Angels versus Robo Queens.

The two matches are scheduled for the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium and the Yakubu Gowon Stadium, respectively.

Heartland Queens and Rivers Angels currently occupy the top spots in the two groups.

Three teams will qualify from each group for the playoffs where the winner of the league will be decided.
