Retired Col David Imuse, factional All Progressives Congress, APC Chairman who is loyal to Adams Oshiomhole, the National Chairman of the party has described Governor Godwin Obaseki’s resignation as a welcome development.
Imuse said the Governor’s resignation was expected as his resignation will not affect the party’s chances in the upcoming gubernatorial election.
According to him, “it is good riddance to bad rubbish, adding that the party was in a joyous mood.
He said, “The party remains the party, we are preparing for our party primaries. So by Monday all of you should be prepared to witness the direct primary election which is going to be a seamless operation.
“Membership of political parties is voluntary so he can go anywhere he likes, it is his constitutional right, and has no effect on the APC.” NAN quoted him as saying.
