Ogenyi Onazi long range effort for Zalgiris in their 2-1 away win over Linfield in the qualifiers for the group stage of the UEFA Champions League second tie can easily pass as the goal of the round.

The Nigerian drove home a ferocious drive from over 40 yards to put his team who ended the game with nine men 2-0 up before Chris Shields pulled a goal back for Linfield.

The win handed his team a 5-2 aggregate win and also earned them a spot in the best round of the qualifiers where they will take on Hungarian side Ferencvaros.

Onazi hasn’t had the best of club career since 2019 and he is hoping to relaunch himself back to the form that saw him rose to the role of the deputy captain of the senior national team of Nigeria.

So far he has been pivotal to the push of Zalgiris to make an impact in the qualifying round for the group stages of the UEFA Champions League and hopefully make it to the group stage.
