Ondo monarch, Oba Adegoke Adeusi, the Olufon of Ifon under Ose Local Government Area Ondo State, has been shot dead by gunmen.
Oba Adeusi was killed on Thursday evening, November 26, around the Elegbeka axis of the town on his way back to his palace from Akure.
According to security sources, Oba Adeusi was earlier kidnapped before he was shot dead by unknown gunmen.
The king earlier before he was kidnapped and killed, attended a meeting with another Obas in Akure and while on his way back home, he was kidnapped.
While his release was trying to be rescued, the Oba was shot dead. Police public relations officer in Ondo, Teo Ikoro, confirmed the tragic incident.
