The palace of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has taken to social media to denial claims that his new wife, Olori Porphetess Naomi stepped on blood as part of her marriage rites.
The below photo which has been trending on social media, got people insinuating that it was blood that was spilled on the floor.
However, the palace has given clarification on the trending photoi, in a post on Facebook.

The new Yeyeluwa wasn’t stepping on blood but OOSUN (Cam Wood). “Iyawo Elese Oosun” ….hope you remember Ayinde Barrister’s song? There’s no where in Yoruba tradition where the bride is required to step over blood as part of a wedding rite.”
