Ortom gives contractor two weeks ultimatum to complete road project

Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State has issued two weeks ultimatum to CGGC Construction Company to complete the 36-kilometre Igbor-Ikpa-Mbatyerev-Wannune road.

The governor who expressed disappointment over the quality of work done on the ongoing construction urged the company to ensure the project is completed within the stipulated time.

Governor Ortom issued the ultimatum on Wednesday while inspecting the project.

He lamented that the project which according to him was expected to have been completed long ago was still at its current state,

The Governor stressed that it was a poorly done job.

He noted that the government had paid over 80 per cent of the contract sum which is N2.6 billion.
