Veteran Nigerian journalist Osasu Obayiuwana says the three players who organised the much talked about sex party which allegedly took place in the camp of the Super Eagles on the eve of the game against Cape Verde are Kelechi Iheanacho, Kenneth Omeruo and Chidozie Awaziem.
In an exclusive chat with OwnGoalNigeria.com, Osasu said the trio broke the team’s curfew which infuriated coach Gernot Rohr who subsequently want them out of the team but was prevailed upon by the NFF to let them play.
“We already know it’s Omeruo, Awaziem and Iheanacho. Why didn’t you name them in your report? Omeruo is the most shameful of all because he is one of the most senior players in the team and should be showing exemplary behaviour”, he said.
Meanwhile a chieftain of the NFF has defended the football house saying it was coach of the team Gernot Rohr who pardoned the players and not the NFF.
He said Rohr already axed Awaziem from the starting lineup with Kevin Akpoguma set to play but had a change of mind minutes before the game saying he has investigated the issue and the players are innocent.
The issue was seen as a distraction and the NFF ordered for it to be kept aside till a latter date with possible sanctions including expulsion from the team. Meanwhile all efforts to get the player’s camp to respond proved abortive as they didn’t respond to several calls and text messages.
